Association-roundup-june

A look back at June across the RGB Protocol on Bitcoin ecosystem.

In Brief

  • The Association was at BTC Prague 2026, where Utexo and KaleidoSwap presented at the Freedom Tech Summit Dev Hack Day, followed by an informal developer meetup
  • Association members taught at the Plan ₿ Summer School in Lugano, across both the Technology and Business tracks

BTC Prague

The Association was at BTC Prague 2026, where Renat Skitsan, Co-Founder and CTO of Utexo, and Walter Maffione and Arshia Ramezan Mahmoudi of KaleidoSwap presented what their teams are building at the Freedom Tech Summit Dev Hack Day.

At the end of the hack day, the Association ran an informal meetup over beers, spending the evening with developers working across different protocols. Fewer slides, more questions, and a clearer sense of what other teams are running into.

For the full recap of the sessions and side events, see RGB Protocol Association at BTC Prague 2026.

Plan ₿ Summer School, Lugano

Several Association members were invited to teach at the Plan ₿ Summer School, the Bitcoin, blockchain, and AI program run by the City of Lugano and Tether, structured across a Technology track and a Business track.

Federico Tenga gave an overview of trading on Lightning and on Bitcoin more broadly. Walter Maffione ran a workshop on building a DEX on Bitcoin. Birkan Kayadibi, co-founder of the RGB Protocol Association, joined the business track with a session on the business development and growth challenges specific to open source protocols.
