RGB Protocol Association is hosting Agentic Dollars on Bitcoin, a weekend hackathon dedicated to self-custodial dollar applications powered by local AI agents, taking place October 17-18, 2026 at BLOX in Turin, Italy.

What Is Being Announced?

RGB Protocol Association is bringing builders to Turin for a hackathon combining local AI, payment apps, and Bitcoin. The event is organized with Tether as main sponsor, Atlas21 as media partner, and BitPolito as local partner, and will be hosted at BLOX in Turin, Italy.

Participants will build “dollar apps”, self-custodial applications for digital dollars, powered by local AI agents, keeping both the financial logic and the AI inference private and offline-capable, with Bitcoin as the settlement layer underneath.

Who Can Participate

The event is open to teams of two to four people, and solo applications are welcome too. No prior Bitcoin experience is required. Attendance is free; travel and accommodation are self-funded, while meals during the event (Saturday lunch, Sunday breakfast, and afternoon coffee) are covered.

Timeline

  • Now through October 3: applications open — background and project idea
  • September 24: tool tutorials published for applicants
  • October 3-12: team selection and confirmation
  • October 13: live technical Q&A session with mentors
  • October 17-18: the hackathon itself, in Turin, with demos and awards

Prizes

  • First place: €4,000, plus a guaranteed spot in the CypherTank semifinals
  • Second place: €1,500
  • Third place: €500
